When editing one of your products, on the bottom right corner, you will see two options, Retire and Delete:
Retiring a product
If you are no longer selling an item and are unlikely to ever get it back in stock, it's best to retire the product. It will stay on your store's product list but cannot be purchased. The listing can appear on external search engines but will not appear in searches on Tindie.
Retiring a product:
- shows you are no longer selling an item, so you won't get back-in-stock requests
- keeps a history of your past products
- allows previous buyers to access the products documentation
Deleting a product
Ideally, you will never delete a product. Deleting the product removes the listing from public view and your store's product list.
If a product has been purchased, it cannot be deleted entirely. Past orders will include some of the product info for record-keeping.
