Tindie uses Google Universal Analytics to track site traffic on your store. Therefore you will need a "Universal Analytics Property" in GA.
Please note that Google Analytics V4 is on our 2022 roadmap. We will email sellers with more info about switching over when the upgrade is complete, please make sure you are subscribed to the Tindie Seller Updates mailing list. You can check this in the "Store Email Preferences" area of your Store Settings.
If you are new to GA, when creating your first property you will find the option for Universal Analytics in the "advanced settings" tab:
Tindie only needs your UA ID to start tracking traffic. You can find that UA ID in the "Admin" section of GA:
Once you have found that ID, you can add it to Tindie in your Store Settings page:
If you are looking to set up a Goal in GA using the "Place an order" template, you can use the Destination URL of "/checkout/success/".
For more information be sure to visit Google's knowledge base which may contain more information on Google Analytic ID setup.
